Are you suffering from hot flashes, night sweats,
and other weird symptoms of menopause?
So was I until I discovered bioidentical hormones (bioidentical hormone
replacement therapy or BHRT).
Bioidentical hormones stopped
my menopause symptoms.
And before that it was perimenopause with
month-long heavy periods and fibroids.
Biodentical natural progesterone was the solution to that.
Hello, and welcome to my web site. As an "average" woman, without the wealth and celebrity of Suzanne Somers, Oprah, or Dr. Phil's wife, I would like to share with you my experiences with how I buy bioidentical hormones for my menopause symptoms on my own with no prescriptions, and how I use them as safely as possible. I do this because I cannot not find a doctor in my locality that will prescribe them for me, and I cannot afford a long distance commute to a doctor in a more urban, affluent community (which is usually where these doctors are found). I'm sure there are other women out there with the same problem. Suzanne Somers says in one of her book, Ageless, that bioidentical hormones are available and affordable for all, but that is just not true. I'm sure she means well, but she probably has no idea what it's like to live on a very minimal income as many of us do.
There are far more technical sites out there. If you want to see the molecular structure of an estrogen molecule or learn the biological process of how progesterone decreases bone loss, I encourage you to search and do your homework. My purpose here is only to share what I have learned through experience about bioidentical hormones.
I am not a doctor and I am not suggesting you do what I am doing. Nor is this web site meant to diagnose anyone in any way. BHRT is not an anti-aging miracle, but for me it is certainly helpful along with good nutrition and exercise. BHRT is essential for my quality of life to alleviate the symptoms of menopause.
BHRT is NOT the same thing as using synthetic hormones such as estrogen derived from horse urine or using synthetic progestins. These hormones are not an exact match to a woman's natural hormones. Women's fears of hormone replacement are based on studies done on synthetic hormones, not bioidentical hormones. Why so few studies on bioidenticals? Because the drug companies don't like bioidentical hormones. They can't patent a natural substance like natural progesterone, for example, so they push the synthetic hormones, which give us the bad side effects. Granted, pharmaceutical companies have a few bioidentical, FDA-approved prescription drugs available now, but they can only patent the delivery system, like the adhesive on an estrogen patch, for example. But they still push their many, many varieties of synthetic hormones. And the drug companies control the doctors. In addition, most mainstream doctors are ignorant about bioidentical hormones or pretend to be.
Since the discovery that the synthetic hormones are harmful to women, doctors have been pulling women off of hormone replacement or only prescribing it for short-term use. Don't worry. They are also prescribing more anti-depressants and bone density drugs to make up for this profit loss.
But there is another choice. Bioidentical hormones are identical to a woman's own hormones. For me, bioidenticals are the only choice.
Bioidentical hormones have changed my life.
